Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of GoQuick as a rider or driver. Please read them carefully before using the app.

1. Acceptance of terms

  • By creating an account or using GoQuick as a rider or driver, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to create a GoQuick account.

2. The GoQuick platform

  • GoQuick is a technology platform that connects riders with independent, third-party drivers. GoQuick does not itself provide transportation services.
  • Drivers on the platform are independent contractors and are not employees or agents of GoQuick.
  • We do not guarantee that a driver will be available at any given time or location.

3. Accounts

  • You're responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current information when registering and to keep it updated.
  • GoQuick may suspend or terminate an account that provides false information, violates these terms, or poses a safety risk to other users.

4. Driver requirements

  • Drivers must hold a valid driver's licence, vehicle registration, and any permits required under Zimbabwean law to operate a passenger vehicle for hire.
  • Drivers must submit accurate identity and vehicle documents for verification and keep them up to date.
  • GoQuick reserves the right to deactivate a driver account if documents expire, verification fails, or conduct standards are not met.

5. Fares and payment

  • Fares are calculated based on distance, estimated time, and applicable rates shown in the app before you confirm a trip.
  • Payments may be made in cash or via EcoCash, as selected at the time of booking.
  • Drivers remit an agreed commission to GoQuick on completed trips; commission rates and remittance terms are communicated to drivers separately.
  • Fares may vary during periods of high demand. Any such adjustment will be shown in the app before you confirm your trip.

6. Cancellations

  • Riders may cancel a trip request before a driver arrives. A cancellation fee may apply if a driver has already accepted and is en route.
  • Drivers may decline or cancel a trip request; repeated cancellations by a driver may affect their standing on the platform.

7. Conduct

  • Riders and drivers are expected to treat each other with respect. Abusive, threatening, or unsafe behaviour may result in account suspension or termination.
  • GoQuick may investigate reported incidents and take appropriate action, including removing a user from the platform.
  • Riders and drivers agree not to use the platform for any unlawful purpose.

8. Ratings and feedback

  • Riders and drivers may rate each other after a trip. Ratings help maintain the quality and safety of the platform and may factor into account standing.

9. Limitation of liability

  • GoQuick facilitates connections between riders and independent drivers but is not liable for the acts, omissions, or conduct of any driver or rider.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, GoQuick's liability for any claim arising from use of the platform is limited to the value of the trip fare in question.
  • GoQuick is not liable for delays, losses, or damages arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including traffic, weather, or network outages.

10. Termination

  • You may stop using GoQuick and delete your account at any time by contacting support.
  • GoQuick may suspend or terminate your access to the platform for violation of these terms, fraudulent activity, or conduct that endangers other users.

11. Changes to these terms

  • We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use of GoQuick after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. Any disputes arising from use of the platform will be subject to the jurisdiction of Zimbabwean courts.
